225. Marie Arie Walden

Drowned in the California surf along with daughter Shirley while on vacation. Marie is buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Kansas City, KS. Shirley was never found.

234. William Fayette Howell

Dad's name at birth was Lafayette (after the Doctor who delivered him, I believe). He changed it over the years to Fayette (why, I have no idea) and that was his official name (on his marriage certificate, etc.). Dad grew up in Dowagiac, Michigan and went to Hillsdale College in Michigan. He received a Masters in Public Administration from Syracuse University. He worked in Washington DC most of his career and at his death (at age 53) was Director of Administration for the World Bank.
